Victory Church

October 11-23, 2013 - Staff Pastor: Ryan Latham & Trip Coordinator: TBD

Surrounded by South Africa, in the tiny mountain kingdom of Lesotho, with the third highest HIV rate in the world, and where 23-29% of the population are HIV positive, trafficking in women, boys, and girls is thriving for reasons of sexual exploitation, pornography, domestic servitude, forced labor, and other criminal activities. The Beautiful Dream Society operates the only Anti-Human Trafficking organization in the country where former victims of human trafficking are cared for, trained, and equipped in either the BDS safe house or the Hand of Hope Transformation Center. Participants in this mission trip will tour small villages in Lesotho making presentations to schools and community centers about the dangers of human trafficking. You’ll need to pack light, bring your sleeping bags, and come ready for adventure and a rigorous schedule.

*For more information about this trip, attend an informational meeting on Sunday, April 21 from 1.45-3:00pm at Victory Church-OKC campus in room 5.
